You Don't Mess With The Zohan

In You Don't Mess With the Zohan, a comedy from screenwriters Adam Sandler, Robert Smigel (Triumph the Insult Comic Dog), and Judd Apatow (Knocked Up), Sandler stars as Zohan, an Israeli commando that hold a mission of recapturing a key Palestinian terrorist, the "Phantom" (John Turturro). Zohan fakes his own death in order to pursue his dream: becoming a hairstylist in New York.

Zohan land a job in a struggling salon of a Palestinian woman named Dhalia (Emmanuelle Chriqui). After first only allowing the ostentatious Zohan to sweep floors for free, she eventually allows him to be a stylist after he pleases a senior lady with a satisfactory haircut and back room sexual service. Zohan's reputation spreads instantly among the elder women of lower Manhattan, who comment that "besides the sex, he gives a pretty good haircut. Dhalia's business booms, upsetting Walbridge (Michael Buffer), a corporate magnate who has been trying to force out all the local tenants on the block so that he may build a huge mall.

Eventually Zohan is identified by a Palestinian cab driver named Salim (Rob Schneider). Salim convinces his friends to help him exact revenge on Zohan. Meanwhile, Zohan realizes that he has fallen in love with Dhalia. However, Dhalia rejects Zohan's feelings for her after he reveals he was formerly an Israeli counter-terrorist operative. Zohan decides to leave Dhalia and confront the Phantom in a Hacky Sack game. His fight is cut short with sudden news of the Middle Eastern block being attacked by racist white arsonists dressed in Arabic clothing.

As Zohan and Phantom are working together to save the block, Dhalia appears, revealing that she is a sister of Phantom – or "Fattoush" as she calls him. Zohan's personal dossier allows him to discover the arsonists' true identities as rednecks hired by Walbridge. Zohan and Phantom lead the united Israelis and Palestinians of the block to save their shops, defeating the rednecks, thwarting Walbridge's plans, and damaging all of the shops on the block.

With the Israelis and the Palestinians united, the block is transformed into a collectively-owned mall, in which Zohan and Dhalia realize their dream, opening a joint beauty parlor. The Phantom also fulfills his lifelong passion of opening up a shoe store. The movie ends happily as Zohan's parents approve of his Palestinian wife.

WALL-E

What if mankind had to leave Earth, and somebody forgot to turn the last robot off?

Academy Award-winning writer-director Andrew Stanton ("Finding Nemo") and the inventive storytellers and technical geniuses at Pixar Animation Studios ("The Incredibles," "Cars," "Ratatouille") transport moviegoers to a galaxy not so very far away for a new computer-animated cosmic comedy about a determined robot named WALL-E.

After hundreds of lonely years of doing what he was built for, WALL-E (short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) discovers a new purpose in life (besides collecting knick-knacks) when he meets a sleek search robot named EVE. EVE comes to realize that WALL-E has inadvertently stumbled upon the key to the planet's future, and races back to space to report her findings to the humans (who have been eagerly awaiting word that it is safe to return home). Meanwhile, WALL-E chases EVE across the galaxy and sets into motion one of the most exciting and imaginative comedy adventures ever brought to the big screen.

Joining WALL-E on his fantastic journey across a universe of never-before-imagined visions of the future, is a hilarious cast of characters including a pet cockroach, and a heroic team of malfunctioning misfit robots.

Filled with surprises, action, humor and heart, "WALL-E" was written and directed by Andrew Stanton, produced by Jim Morris, co-produced by Lindsey Collins and features original and innovative sound design by Academy Award-winner Ben Burtt ("Star Wars," "Indiana Jones," "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial").

We did make fun of her, especially the piggy logo of a pig on top of the cake. LOL. Voon Yuke's idea I guess. Too bad that I have done the dental surgery so that I can't really eat burger so I gotta take the chicken porridge instead. Well, it wasn't taste bad anyway. It's kinda tasty. We took quite a bit of photos. Just hope that she enjoys her day today.

Dental Operation

Yesterday, 8th of August (08.08.08), I went for dental operation at Khoo Dental Clinic (Klinik Pergigian Khoo), OUG. I have an impacted wisdom tooth. It have cause me a lot of inconvenient especially after food. It is hard to clean the area. Food tends to trap there and I gotta brush my teeth very often to keep clean.

My dentist have recommended me to do the operation ages ago but then I don't have the time and the cash to do it. However, I have to do it now cause it started to bleed more often when I brush my teeth. Well, the operation cost me RM700 for one tooth. It really burn a whole in my wallet for this wisdom tooth. *sob sob*

My X-ray

So I've decided to fix the problem. I went for the surgical for my left wisdom tooth that cause me most problem. The right one I will just leave it at the time. I don't print money as you know. So I just fixed one tooth than both. I guess it is a best decision right now because if I pluck out both side, I don't think I'm able to eat anything. Now, I'm only able to eat porridge or something soft. The rest, I gotta chew slowly or else it is painful.

The surgery wasn't really painfully cause I was given anesthetic (painkiller) before it. The syringe the used to penetrate my gum and inject those anesthetic looks horrible to me. LOL. The moment that the dentist (Dr. Peter Liuk) plucking it out even worst. He was like trying to stab the tool into my tooth and get out the pieces of my tooth.

Look at that tool that used to inject the painkiller to my gum...

The tooth that I plucked out... RM700 for this tooth... My $$$ flied away

The broken apart wisdom tooth

So as you can see the parts of my wisdom tooth, that is what RM700 cost for me. To break it apart and get it out, stitch back my gum and a period of inconvenience - especially my eating habit cause I love to eat. I gotta take some medication given which consist 2 antibiotics (Metronidazole & Amoxycillin) and a painkiller (Ponstan). I gotta get back there next week to get rid of the stitches.

My painkiller and antibiotics

Vicky's Birthday

Yesterday, 6th of August was Vicky's (Wie Kee) 22th birthday. I would like to wish her happy belated birthday once again. I think she should have a lot of fun yesterday. Well, we have planned this day for quite a bit already. Thanks to Lit Teng, Poi Ying, Vivian, Yin Sian etc., they have done a lot in preparing the present for her. Well, this year we got her a photo album that filled with all those photos that we taken before since we laid our feet on UTAR. Furthermore, we make a video of us wishing her birthday and any personal words to her - but I didn't manage to do it.

Although I'm not in the video, I still have some words for you. What I hope is that you (Vicky) enjoy every single bit that we have gone through with her during the days in UTAR - all those sweet and sour memories that we all have walk through together as course mate. I wich you all the best in your future career and life journey. Friends forever!!!

OK. Back to the celebration part, we went to Jusco, Setapak. Poi Ying, Vivian, Tansra, Voon Yuke, Moses, Jeff, Eric and me was there to celebrate her birthday at Nando's. Well, in term of the food, I think you can refer to my previous blog on Nando の Peri Peri. The thing I wanna touch here is the cake's part. After blowing the candle, as usually we played the taking out the candles with the mouth. The evil plan of pushing the head of the birthday boy/girl is kinda a trend nowadays. Just that we didn't meant to be so over this time. Eric accidentally smashed Vicky head to the cake - maybe he was just to hyper that time. However, luckily she wasn't too upset by it. Thank God.

I think she must be enjoying her day to the fullest that day. I knew that she will be celebrating it again when she go back to her house and celebrate it with some of her house mates and some of our course mates. So now, I got to prepare for the others birthday soon. I think I'm gonna be broke this month. LOL.

Wishing time...

Vicky was afraid that Tansra will push her head to the cake...

Kinda scary with all the blueberry on her face...

We all help her to clean up...

Photo album that we get for her...

Some of her sleeping photos that we took last time...

She did shed tear looking at this gift that we get for her... I guess she must be touched...

All of us...

Vicky & me

Nando の Peri Peri Story

This photo of the board with the story of the peri peri or rather the origine of the Nando's specialty was taken by me at the Nando's O.U.G. outlet. I dine there few days ago but then I just have no time to blog it here.

The Nando's logo... Well, this is just a small outlet...

Actually, nothing much to say about it. If you compare the price between McDonald's and Nando's, then you wouldn't be eating here. Anyway, it's totally different things that you are comparing too... So, the best is to compare with Kenny Roger's Roasted Chicken (KRRC). For me, somehow I prefer Nando's. There have a few specialty in its sauces (the spiciness of peri peri chilli). Although the side dishes, Nando's doesn't provides variety choices as KRRC but some other appetizer are much more tasty. They have the peri peri soup which is spicy, peri wedges which I personally love it and maybe a few more. I'll most likely be going to Nando's tomorrow.

Nando's special sauces: tomatoes (not really special), garlic, hot peri peri, & extra peri peri

This movie is another blockbuster. I love this film. New direction they turn from the Egyptian mummy to the Chinese Terra Cotta Army, as a mummy too. Kind of oriental based story. I just watched it on Saturday, 2nd of August. Luckily I watched it at Seremban, there wasn't so much people watching it as in KL. I heard from my brother, he watched it the same day as me but in Berjaya Times Square. He got like the front row or so. Pity him.

Just feel lately a lot of stuff is kinda Chinese stuff... The 'Red Cliff' and this mummy film are taking place in China.
Olympic as well taking place in China on 08.08.08, kinda 'ONG' number for the Chinese. I wonder how will it be for this time. The is so many new idea for this event this year organized by them. Hope everyone will enjoy it when the day comes.
