Year 2010!!!

It's the very last few hours left for year 2009 and year 2010 is coming into picture. Here goes the old year, all the bad stuff, all those stupid fight, stupid hatred and lousy things we have been through and it's time to welcome the new year with new hopes and dreams.

New year suppose to be something to be cheering about but then for me, it's nothing much to be joyful for. I still have to go to work on the very next day on new year, the Saturday for overtime as there are a whole lots of claims to be settle. I guess I will be having overtime for the coming week as well after having so many days overtime already.

New year does not seems too good too. It sounds more likely to tell you that you are older another one more year, you are soon to be someones uncle or aunt, or even that we are closer to the year 2012, the so-call-end-of-the-world myth.

However, there are still some good things about it. You have a day off from work as it's a public holiday, you can have new dreams, you can hope for increment of salary or bonus (if you eligible to) and repeat those special days with your loves ones.

So hope you guys have a nice new year and enjoy your holiday. Happy New Year 2010!! ^^

Raymond Lam's Concert Live in Genting 2009

I was too tired to blog about this event this morning as I was back home almost 2am. I have been driving my family to Genting at noon and back after the show so can't help it but to get my sleep first. LOL.

The pre-Christmas concert is not that good and it seems pretty short as it ended pretty early than I expected. A lot of his song was not sang that night according to my sister (I do not really know much of his song as I'm not his fans), However, he do have pretty much fans. There were light board of his fans from Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Canada that I can see. Anymore others that I did not notice, then I did not mention here. LOL.

He changed four times during his show, which made up of 5 sets of costume that he wears that night. I have no idea whether those clothes that he wear that night is sponsored by Key Ng, our Malaysian fashion designer or basically all Raymond's clothing. LOL. However, those clothes he wore that night sucks.

He basically invited 4 guests or maybe only 3 guests which were all the way from Hong Kong because Malaysia policy, any concert done in Malaysia kinda have to invite a Malaysian singer along with it as guest of the day. There this guy I only know him as a HK TVB actor (don't ask me his name because I can't remember myself), Vincy (HK singer), Man Hant (if I'm not mistaken their band's name, which from Malaysia) and that stupid HK actor cum host for the Super Trio Supreme, Wong Cho Lam as the guests of the day.

Well, that Wong Cho Lam is too ugly for me to actually take his photo. LOL. Well, basically I guess the pictures tell more story of the concert. Some extra stuff for you to know. Actually Raymond Lam is not that handsome. His facial skin is pretty rough and he got his belly and not really in shape. He forgets his lyrics often too. For his die hard fans, sorry to say that is the facts.

Overall, the concert is not up to my expectation and I do not really enjoy it. Maybe solely due to his cockiness that he protrude during the concert. The only thing he instilled in me is that he just a not-so-famous-yet-cocky guy. That's all. LOL.

Best Christmas Tree of AIASS

Yay!! Our team, which combines SGGMD Claims and SGPMM team won the "BEST CHRISTMAS TREE" for our AIASS Christmas celebration. Well, if you guys have not seen the tree yet, feel free to view the it from my previous blog, titled "Christmas Gift Exchange in My Work Place" to view it.

We were given a small door gift upon registration to enter the auditorium around 6.00pm, which is a thermos mug from AIA Group. There is lucky draw session, however as usual, I did not manage to get anything. It seems I am pretty unlucky, never get anything from any lucky draw before. LOL.

I'm not nagging for not getting anything. Maybe I just simply make a fuss over it. LOL. I do help out the decoration of the venue, mainly the Christmas tree at the lobby of Wisma AIA. Although it's a little bit tiring and I guess nobody actually notice your effort, however those that knows will remember it.

It's still good thing and I'm feeling great yet pleasant as I do contribute a small part in this event. I just do not want to be a working machine that only work on my job and have no fun at work. Anyway, since my team leader deducted my productivity hour, so why not help out? LOL.

I was helping my team leader to capture some short video for the event, such as performance and the lucky draw session. It's cool since I need not to just be sitting there. I can walk around a bit. Nothing beats my colleague as she was performing tonight and she really enjoy her performance and performed fantastically.

If tomorrow we need not to work, that will be the best thing for this week after tonight's event. However, we still need to work tomorrow as my team follows Singapore's public holiday. I guess I will be going to work slightly earlier tomorrow and finishes my work on time so that I can go back straight after my working hour. ^^

Christmas Gift Exchange in My Work Place

My team from my working place, AIASS has organized a small lunch to celebrate Christmas together before the actual Christmas celebration of my company tomorrow. It was a simple lunch, where one of our colleague sponsors the lunch for the whole team.

Meanwhile, our team SGGMD have join forces with SGPMM team for the Christmas tree decoration. We will be competing with some other department and I have no idea what is the result at the moment. My team mainly just help out to put on the empty boxes of our gift exchange that we planned last week.

Below is the picture of the Christmas tree that we decorated and the following picture is the gifts of my team. After exchanging gifts, we just put the empty boxes with the wrappers intact back under the tree. LOL.

The whole thing seems short but we really enjoy ourselves. Maybe I like it simple so that I need not to think too much on what to make it more happening. For now, I'm still having no idea what to wear for tomorrow's Christmas party in my company. The theme is "SPARKLING".

I have nothing 'sparkling' to wear. I guess they will make fun of us that does not dress sparkling enough for that event. Well, I guess the guys in my team might most likely to suffer the same thing as I am facing right now. Maybe they do not even give a damn about it.

Work With People From My Batch

Recently, my working colleagues, those that same batch of commencement with me started to have quality control among ourselves. We call it as peer check to minimize our errors of our processing job. However, I found out that one of my colleague is doing something that is unfair to the rest of the team.

She picks cases by those easier policies, either by memorizing those policy number or write it down somewhere. I guess it have to be that way or else how on Earth she can get almost the same policy everyday?

Worst, she does not admit her fault. Well, I can't do anything to her but then I started to feel how people like to take short cut and how they always kick the problem or trouble to elsewhere as long as it does not cause them any harm.

No wonder she can process so many cases everyday. It's so unfair for the rest of the team. We process lesser case and makes her stand out of the crowd as if she is super efficient. However, the actual fact is that she cheated.

MPS Reunion 2009

Yesterday, my primary school, Methodist Primary School (MPS) held a gathering. I have the chance to meet back most of my long time primary school mates. Some of them I have hard time recalling who they are. Some I can recognize them first glance, like Arun, Mohan, Get Tsung, Wendy, Trisha (forever the same.. LOL), etc.

When Punitha approached me, I really can't recall her name although I recall she used to be my classmates back then. I'm really thrilled about last night gathering. Seeing back most of them, most of them change so much.

The ladies gets prettier. Some really amazed me. Mariam for instance, she used to be having short hair and tomboy-ish as I could recall, but she is so lady-like yesterday I saw her. I really can't believe my eyes of the drastic changes among all of us. Others like King Yi and Joel getting more buff up, having those eye catching body that amazed the girls last night.

Some of us do not change much. For example, Kelvin, Jin Young, Trisha, Wendy and me. LOL. Basil can recall me the first sight of me when I am almost reaching the main gate of the school. The whole experience of getting back to school is really amazing plus a little bit odd. However, it's really worth it.

I wonder how we will be look like if there is another gathering like this in the future, perhaps in 5 years time. Will most of them married by then or still single? Maybe having kids tagging along to the gathering like some of our senior that I can see on the gathering yesterday.

I really enjoy the night. It was fun and unforgettable. I believe it goes to most of us that night. We took a lot of pictures and Punitha will be the one to post it on Facebook. Well, I'm still waiting for her to post it. Once she posted it up, I'll either save the link here or post it here myself. ^^
