Happy Chinese 牛(New) Year ~ 黑皮牛耳~ 2009*

Happy Chinese New Year... 黑皮牛耳 (Hei Pi Niu Er)... LOL...

For those who can't read Chinese character, the direct translation of 黑皮牛耳 is "Black Skin Cow Ear". While the Hanyu Pinyin is "Hei Pi Niu Er", simply just similar sound to Happy New Year... I learned this through a friend of mine. Funny isn't it?

This year is also the year of ox (牛), which in Chinese (Mandarin) pronouns as "Niu", some how similarly to the sound of "new". That's why I can text most of my friends Happy Chinese 牛 Year!!!

So this festive season is kinda normal routine for me. As usual, I need to help out my mum a bit such as cleaning the house - although I spend more time cleaning and tidying my own room, and drive her here and there to get most of the stuff needed for this festive season.

As you all know that last night was the special occasion for the Chinese to have their Reunion Dinner. Well, my family went to my grandpa's place in Kepong for the reunion dinner. I think I don't need to explain much about it, as you can see it in the picture here...

As for today, the first day of CNY, I need to go visiting relatives. But then this year luckily only two places to go before I need to go to my uncle there as the last stop. So as usual again, we went to my granduncle's house then my grandaunt's house. They are the main places to go so everyone will gather there. So all angpow also get it from there, which I mean those far relatives.

Nothing much I can say also as nothing special as usual just all those chit chatting with cousins and aunties, uncles. So after all those, the last stop, my uncle's place for a lunch before we went back home. But what capture my attention is this little kitten that my aunt petting now. Cute little Siamese kitten, although I prefer other type of cat and colour. Anyway, cat is still cute. LOL...

New Semester

My new semester has begun... New year, new semester but same old me. LOL. Currently, Melissa, Ursula, Jun Hou, Suet Ying, me etc. are waiting for the UTAR management to come out with fair treatment regarding the car parking sticker... It's a bad experience I can say to you all. I'm lazy to blog about what UTAR have done to us... You may refer this through Melissa's blog under "Monday, January 12, 2009" entry...

Semester started yesterday with just 2 lectures, which were Pharmacology by Dr Anthony Ho (last year, Neurology lecture) and Sociology by Ms Charanjit Kaur... Before we attend Sociology, Melissa, Ursula, Jun Hou and me went to Jusco, Alpha Angle for lunch at Johnny's...

This semester, I have to choose an elective subject, either Sociology that I had attend a class yesterday or Interpersonal communication which most of my course mates ran off before it even started. I'm still haven't make up my mind which one to choose. However, I think most probably Sociology. Perhaps I gotta say goodbye to Ms Catherine Lee, the Interpersonal Communication lecturer...

As for Virology, Dr Say, the lecturer seems unenthusiastic to teach us at all during the lab briefing... He speaks softly and boring. Maybe it's too early or just the first lecture of the day. Dr Lim (previously Proteins and Proteomics' lecturer) taking over Oncology this semester. Her first lecture wasn't that interesting as well... I think she should learn a trick or two from Dr. Anthony Ho since they are good friend. LOL...

Happy Belated New Year!!! LOL

Happy New Year Everyone!!! LOL... It's a bit too late to say happy new year since today it's the third day of already... It's been a year not blogging in my own blog already (although it just a month only but the difference is between year 2008 and 2009)... New year means I should have new dreams and new visions...

Currently I'm looking for a part time job since I'm kinda broke lately... I gotta earn some cash to support my living... Don't wanna trouble my mum too much regarding on finance... So many things I need to buy or replace, and all this means money and more money... LOL... I need to replace my air-cond since it's already about 10 years old and cannot be fixed anymore... I wanna get a laptop also... Need to change my car tyres and servicing my car before Chinese New Year... This might be the main things in my to do list I guess...

Well, recently I got an offer from a tuition center to teach. Today, I gotta go for the interview. Hope that I can get that job... At least that I can earn some cash to support myself...
