Bon Odori this year is fix on 12th of July 2008, Saturday... Well, I'm talking about the Bon Odori That held in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia... LOL... So what is Bon Odori? To those who still blur with it, here is some information about it...Bon Odori is celebrated as a reminder of the gratefulness one should feel toward one's ancestors for the Buddhist Japanese custom... It is held annually... Obon is actually Buddhist custom to honor the deceased... Odori in Japanese simply means dance. The festival held in Malaysia is much more of a cultural thing...
At the Bon Odori festival here, there's lots of Japanese food and lots of people in yukata... For those guys that feel wanna wear Japanese summer wear for this festival, feel free to wear jinbei...
The highlight of the festival is, of course, the Bon Odori itself, mean the Bon dance...
